It gave me all the heart feels.
ADVENTURE SESSIONS HAVE MY HEART. Every session has lots of planning that goes into it. Conversations about location, wardrobe and timeline. But, there are always so many unknowns. Weather is usually one of those, especially in the Pacific Northwest. I can roll with the rainy punches, I actually love the moodiness of it. But, sometimes I am so pleasantly surprised by our weather. It can make my artistic heart just want to burst. This was one of those times. In January, the weather predicted was “showers” and instead we were showered in sunshine.
These kind of sessions are what I want to do oh-so-much-more of. Spending the day doing something extra special. These kind of days make it easier to sort of sink into the background and let the family sort of forget I’m there…It allows families to really just themselves. Real, genuine moments.
I am so thankful to Matt + Mauri + little Roman for being so emotionally present to soak in all the goodness. We took the day and traveled over to the lovely coast of Port Angeles, Washington. We wandered, had coffee, took a little hike and played in the sand. We ended our day grabbing burgers at the yummiest spot called Nextdoor, if you’re in Port Angeles, go there. It’s oh so yum.”
