The Story:
“But they want to elope! The big party they dreamed of will have to wait until they both graduate; and they are totally right. They wanted something simple, pretty, organic and it had to reflect their lifestyle. We choose the color pallet and then everything started taking place. Gray, green, blush, blue, and shades of marsala. But he had one rule – they wanted simple and wanted their two rescued dogs Django & Milo to be part of it.
We did everything DIY from scratch, and incorporated some day by day items we had on the farm to make everything meaningful. My other daughter in law, Bailey, helped design and coordinate everything. Pablo, a wonderful friend and my great second shooter, was visiting us on the farm, and helped with the groom’s cloth details and went shopping for a top for the bride. She personally has a Boho style and we wanted to be true to her lifestyle. We made a gray tule skirt and chose a white top with a long sleeve. For his clothes and shoes, we went H&M. Their selection are incredibly beautiful. I carefully selected the flowers for her bouquet, as that was the first thing that came in my vision. Everything else developed around it. We baked the cake and cupcakes from scratch. How fun and a delicious experience!
She loved the idea of a naked cake, and I made it. I incorporated more of the farm with blackberries from the hills around the house and green garden roses. The small table set had apples and plum branches from the trees in the yard. We made ties for the dogs and they had a blast using then. Super cute… They even smiled! They are crazy coffee lovers, so we decided to incorporate it on the mugs. On the day we had the most beautiful sunset and a cool breeze refreshing the air in true Oregon style. It was a beautiful wedding. Where there is love, there is everything!”
