Created by Melissa, of Melissa Hines Photography, Cities in Color was created to push each other creatively, through finding colors in our local cities. Each month Melissa picks her favorite 10 images, with the top three images including their stories. If you want to join in, then get out, explore, and be inspired by any and all of the colors of your city!
Melissa has chose her top images and they are as followed:
“We were in Baltimore for a long weekend with family and visited the National Aquarium. The bright colors of the jellies hanging from the ceiling were perfect for the theme and I loved the smiles they brought to my kids faces.”
“Chicago has some of the most amazing murals, which are perfect for clients who want to capture their urban lifestyle in their images. I was working with my clients at this amazing mural location in Chicago’s West Loop, setting them up for a shot of them walking their dog. When I saw the little guy pulling on his leash to get to his ball (out of the frame), I just *had* to capture it!”
“This image is of a new vineyard near our mountain house in Nellysford, Virginia. Highway 151 is our little east coast Napa lined with vineyards and breweries and surrounded by our beautiful mountains. We love to see people invest in new places along this stretch. And who doesn’t love a good wine tasting!”
