My name is Courtney I own Courtney Jess Photography, a Saskatchewan based wedding and portrait photography business. I’m in love with golden light, genuine smiles, and romance! My passion for photography has led me to study Photographic Technology at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.
This cozy hot cocoa session was photographed in Edmonton, AB. It was snowing crazily the day of my session. After taking twice the time to drive to my sessions location due to road conditions, I arrived at a hidden woodland forest located inside the city. Fortunately for me the heavily falling snow created a radical effect that contrasted against the rich evergreens.
I think it’s safe to say I’m a hopeless romantic, so you can imagine my excitement when I realized just how adorable the couple I was photographing really was. Hot cocoa, flannel, denim and falling snow are all lovely on their own, when you pair all these things with the chemistry of the couple in the photograph the result is well.. breathe taking.
