The Story:
“When I got the call asking if I would come and document a few of this family’s favorite places around their neighborhood, in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, I was thrilled. They were packing up their home after many years of living in the city, and like many of us former city-dwellers do after having kids, moving on to a quieter, suburban existence. More space, near family. Only this wasn’t just a move to Long Island or New Jersey, this family was making a huge life change and moving all the way to Austin, Texas. So documenting Brooklyn for them was a huge honor – being entrusted to record their favorite places, for them to take across the country and hold onto forever. A little piece of Brooklyn in the heart of Texas.”
