The Story:
“It’s hard living in Florida sometimes. Yes, we have gorgeous beaches, and tropical climates – which leaves many people flocking to it’s beautiful shores during the winter months to seek refuge other parts of this great country. However, when you’re a resident, you find yourself longing for a chance to stow away the flip flops and bikini tops (if only for a minute) and bask in a crisp breeze like some of our neighbors to the north.
As a photographer, it’s a challenge to find variety for our clients in terms of location when our climate are ‘warm and ‘warmer.’ That’s why I came up with the campfire shoot. This shoot offered my clients an opportunity to feel cozy and provide a landscape that didn’t scream ‘palm trees and sand!’ Add little bit of hot cocoa, a dash of chocolate and marshmallow, a crackling fire, and viola! We were transported beyond our marshy swamps, into a land where winter exists…even in the deep south!
This family had a blast roasting marshmallows and snuggling close together. And doesn’t that make for the very best family photos of all?”
