Future of Beyond the Wanderlust | Inspirational Photography Blog

I don’t very often write letters to you, the fans, but I have felt that now is a really good time to post one. There has been lots of changes, as I am sure you have noticed, since the beginning of May. I personally have done a lot of thinking on what kind of business I want to run and how I want to influence the people that watch my growth. This really hasn’t been an easy task to think about as there is such a big future for the blog but also a lot of unknowns that come with that and any business. When the blog started, it was purely just started as a place to bring inspiration, to rally behind other photographers, ones that might not get as much notice. That goal was succeeded 10 fold and my heart could not be any more happy. With that being said, I have felt for a long time, the blog was meant for more. For as long as I can remember, I have always been the one that wanted to see good in people and in things. Sometimes that has left me a little exposed but I have grown from those experiences and they have built me into the business woman I am today. A couple weeks back I posted a picture of a little girl that was here on medical missions. You all blew me away on the love that you gave to that image. That little girl opened my eyes on what this business could mean and how it could impact not just the photography industry but the world.

So I have spent a couple weeks at the drawing board so to speak and have built a fantastic business model. It is new and fresh and will touch so many people. I am in the early building stages but can’t wait to be able to share my vision on the blog. I want to leave this earth with my kids seeing their mother as someone who cared and wanted to make a difference. I want to be apart of something that is bigger then any of us and one day might change the way the world works.

I am going to leave you with an inspirational quote to give you motivation for your work day:

Wonderful. I can’t wait to hear more. It will be so refreshing to have a photography blog that is about more than just sharing prettily set-up photos of cute kids. Not that there’s anything wrong with that but, like you, I yearn for something more meaningful and multi-layered. Go you!

Thank you so much Michelle! It really feeds your soul to give back to others!

  • When I originally commented I clicked the -Notify me when new surveys are added- checkbox and now every time a comment is added I get four emails sticking with the same comment. Can there be any way you are able to get rid of me from that service? Thanks!
