The Inn’s event space was burnt beyond repair earlier this year but, undefeated by whatever forces caused the fire, the Myrtles Plantation is breaking ground for its next event space and restaurant this fall.
The Myrtles Plantation inspired this Gothic styled shoot, featuring a black wedding dress, jewel toned flowers, and Spanish moss-framed portraits.
The styled shoot was an intimate ceremony, with only the couple present for the vows and exchanging of rings. The reception included a soot-black tiered cake, inset with hand painted sugar crystals creating the look of a geode. The bridal bouquet was designed with deep purples and reds to complement the darker mood of this shoot. The rich tones of the coordinating floral arrangement popped against the teal blue shutters and door on the inn’s front porch. The stationery echoed the deep floral colors on a black background, highlighted by ornate gold text.”
