“Mutual Adoration” being the name of this image, I think we can all see why! Joni Burtt of Joni Burtt Photography, natural light lifestyle photographer based in Canada, describes this moment as “fleeting” in her daughter’s life. “My daughter is very much a Mama’s girl. When I saw her snuggled up in bed with my husband, I decided I’d better capture it!” Joni says that her daughter of course loves her daddy but is 99% of the time attached to her hip! She loved that when she was taking this photo, daddy and daughter just continued to look at each other and ignore mommy above. They were smitten.
During the long winter months, photography gives Joni a creative outlet and it is very relaxing for her. Being stuck inside through snowstorm after snowstorm, Joni can focus on her art and continue to be inspired by color, her children and breaking the rules! She loves those spur-of-the-moment, run and grab your camera moments are some the of the best.
