“Our inspiration was to document the emotions and anticipation of Ben and Julie in a mossy forest, standing on a downed tree in a beautiful white gown…. as they awaited the arrival of their little boy. We made the trip out to the North Cascades National forest a few hours before sunset. The first part of our session was more of a walk through the wood. I love allowing my clients to get comfortable in front of the camera. As the light started to get golden, they changed into their dressier outfits. My main goal is always for my clients to feel comfortable and connected.”
Artist Biography: Dannie Melissa Wit, of Abeille Photography, is a Seattle native who spent much of her adolescence enjoying the vast, natural beauty of the PNW. She’s an artistic natural light photographer, with a deep passion for documenting the journey of life through her photographs. Based out of Seattle, Washington, her days are filled by trying to balance business while managing a loving home for her husband and three rambunctious littles. Dannie began her photography journey as a teenager, always fascinated with Ansel Adams and the stacks of National Geographic that were housed in the bookshelves of her grandparents home. Her love affair officially began after her uncle gave her his old Minolta with a roll of film. Her inspiration comes from observing the everyday – the way a shadow falls across a group of little strawberry stained faces; the love between a couple that is newly engaged or been married for 50 years with the goal of holding those precious moments & emotions still for generations to come.
