Little Bud Photography
I am a 30 year old military wife and the mom of a 2 year old daughter I have only been in business for about 5 months but my love of photography started a couple of years ago while my husband was deployed and I bought my first DSLR to document our daughter for him while he was gone.
I am a lifestyle photographer with a simple style. I always strive for my work to feel authentic and emotional but I also try to achieve a clean and pared-down look to my images. I love newborn sessions because the connection between the new parents and between parent and child is so fresh and beautiful. I try to make that feeling of love and contentedness the common thread through all of my images. I love capturing babies exactly as they are in that moment and I feel especially lucky to catch a tiny smile or yawn.
For this session I arrived at the family’s beautiful home with floor to ceiling windows and I immediately knew that we would have an amazing time. This little guy was already two weeks old on the day of our session and a pretty big baby–10 lbs!–so I knew he might give me a run for my money! He took a little while to settle down and sleep for a bit, but one of the things I love about at-home newborn sessions is that if baby needs an extra snack or a cuddle from mom we can just relax and work around baby’s needs. We finished up our session with family shots, which are some of my very favorite images. This whole family was gorgeous and so sweet and I was thrilled to be able to document this special time for them.
