I’m a natural light portrait photographer who shoots primarily on location and strives to make every session as unique, detailed and inspired as possible for both my clients and myself. The challenge of combining a clients personal items and details, personalities, and my own ideas into a styled shoot is what excites me the most about photography.
After putting together an elaborate and fun gypsy photoshoot for his sister earlier this summer, we knew we needed to find an equally unique and personal theme for E’s photo shoot as well. The first thing that stood out to me about his was his personal style – this kid can DRESS. All the outfits and accessories used in this were his own clothes – nothing was bought specially! Did I mention that he’s only 9 years old? Tell me another 9 year old that you know who owns saddle shoes and a top hat! Building on the vintage theme, I found a local Apple Orchard with a vintage storefront property that was willing to lend us their space for the shoot, as well as a vintage/antique car collection who drove his 1961 Bentley over for our use. We ended the shoot barefoot in the rows of apple tree’s with him playing ACDC’s “Thunderstruck” on his guitar. Definitely a cool kid.
