“I love so many things about this portrait. Of course the birds are spectacular. I love how Meshea was able to capture them around the family. The mother’s dress also is a big draw for my eye, as it is bold but soft enough to immediately pull me in, guiding me towards the emotion between the boy and her. Last, the rocks. As simple as they seem popping in through the edge of the frame I love the added depth it gives.”
