Southern California Desert Engagement: Gloria + Jason’s Story from Melanie:
“Gloria and Jason met fortuitously through their mutual friend Tiffany. Somewhere in between hangouts at Life Plaza and trips to Irvine, they became friends, although both will adamantly insist that the other person was the first to have romantically-inclined sentiments for the other. Their first date was at Bubba Gump Shrimp in Santa Monica where Gloria ordered a beer and Jason ordered a fruity cocktail with a light-flashing mug. It was summer love and the rest, as they say, is history.
Gloria and Jason wanted a location that would reflect simplicity and embody the belief that love is all you need. Their hopes for marriage is that in the end, when everything-possessions, money, titles-are stripped away, that they will still always have love for one another. Just like how in a barren desert, with just sand, a table and one too many succulent plants, we had a great time shooting these photos! We decided to go with an organic, fun theme for their engagement session, complete with cupcakes and dessert wine.”
