Sweet Baby Knots
Welcome Chabree! We see that you already are in the world of photography! What made you decide you wanted to start a product line for photographers as well?
Thanks for having me! One of the items passed down to me from my Grandma Jane was her basket of yarn, knitting needles, and crochet hooks. Since her passing in 2006, my bucket list has had “learn to crochet” on it each and every year. Finally in 2012 I embraced my list and got to work on learning to crochet. And almost instantly I was hooked, pun intended! After three years with my photography business, Chabree Grove Photography, it was clear to me that I had a passion for photographing newborns. And as every newborn photographer knows, those itty bitty babies require a lot of stuff! As I began making items for my own sessions, other photographers noticed and requested custom items. From there Sweet Baby Knots was launched!
Where did you come up with your name?
Picking a name was such an adventure. I’ve always said that deciding my children’s names was easily two of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make. And as it turns out, picking a business name was no different. As an option would come to mind I’d run to my computer and type it in facebook, then google, to see if it was already used. After a few weeks of mulling it over, Sweet Baby Knots was available and fit the part!
Tell us a little about your line. Is there particular sizes that you already have made up or can people custom order?
My goal is to simply provide a line of available items that offer great versatility. The more options a piece provides the better bang for your buck… and I know how important that is to photographers. While I focus on providing RTS (ready to ship) items that I feature throughout the week, I do take custom orders as well. And as much as I love playing with yarn and putting different colors & textures together, I am always inspired by the requests I receive from clients when they describe their custom piece.
What has been your most popular item so far?
Definitely sweet bonnets for little girls! I try to make each one different… a different style and new colors. And my personal favorite is the Buttons & Flowers beanie that features a basic button beanie with 4 interchangeable flowers in a variety of colors. Something so simple can give a basic beanie a totally new look!
Thank you so much for being here and please tell our fans about the set that is available for a giveaway!
I am so excited to now be featuring layering sets in my shop. I designed these items to offer multiple pieces including burlap, fabric, and lace as well as a crochet beanie or bonnet and detachable embellishments. It’s a great way to take a few simple pieces and create several looks. The newest Sweet Baby Knots design is the Spring Mist 5-piece layering set. It features a neutral fabric layer, an aqua lace layer, a mini blanket, a bonnet and a coordinating tie-back. It’s the perfect complement to any photographer’s spring collection and I’m excited to offer it to all the great Beyond the Wanderlust followers!
So lets get to the fun stuff!! As Chabree mentioned above, there is going to be a giveaway! Make sure to see what to do and come back next Monday night to see if you are the lucky winner!
