The Story:
“After working with Birds of a Flower, floral designers, on a gorgeous wedding this summer they contacted me and asked if I’d be interested in collaborating on a styled fall shoot for little girls. I jumped at the chance since their work is so stunning. Heather wanted to do a princess and pony themed fall party. What little girl doesn’t dream of such a thing? And, Vermont fall is the best season, bursting with color.
Heather’s four-year-old daughter and her best friend were happy to play along with us. Heather created the most beautiful floral crowns for the girls and then adorned the ponies with flowers. These girls ride together frequently on their Icelandic Ponies and thought this was the most fun day ever. We dressed them in nordic sweaters and wool skirts to fit the season.
Vermont’s color did not disappoint on the day of the shoot. All the leaves seem to be in peak season with many blanketing the ground. This created the perfect backdrop for our session. We found an area full of bright golden yellow leaves along an old stone wall. Watching these two girls frolic in the leaves with their ponies was the sweetest thing. It’s the perfect inspiration for anyone looking to have a princess and pony party.”
