Mountain Pass Engagement Session’s Story

“Darek and Nikki fell in love in the Pacific Northwest. They met while Darek was tending bar at a popular Seattle establishment and the rest was history. It was easy to choose a location for their session as these two are both lovers of the outdoors. Snoqualmie Pass is a natural playground not much over an hour from the city and I knew it would give us beautiful views and highlight some of the things that make these two who their are. One of Darek and Nikki’s favorite ways to spend free time together is camping so it seemed only natural to shoot their photos while sipping warm beverages around a campfire. Darek is an avid snowboarder and has spent years riding Alpental, one of the state’s most quaint, yet challenging ski hills. It was extra special for him to get views of his favorite mountains in their engagement photos. Nikki was hoping for hints of both fall and winter for their shoot in the mountains and while the peaks were bare only days before, we were greeted to a little dusting of the pretty white stuff when we arrived. It is clear by their playful interactions that these two are head over heels for each other and we all had such a blast! They will be having their wedding in the lovely mountain town of Leavenworth next summer.”
